🔪KIᒪᒪ, ᔕᒪᗴᗴᑭ, ᖇᗴᑭᗴᗩT by Britney King made its official debut yesterday (1/16/20), and you guys. . . It rocked my mothereffing world. (And yes, I received a free digital arc for review purposes.) I’ll share the synopsis down in the comments, so I won’t rehash it here. What you need to know: this book is a dark, twisted, sexy, and 𝑐𝑟𝑎𝑧𝑦 trip. It was exactly what my black heart needed.

💥When @mobius_books put the call out for their ᗯYᑎTᗴᖇTIᗪᗴ tour (thanks for sending me a free copy!), I jumped at the chance. I’d had ᖇOTᕼᗴᖇᗯᗴIᖇᗪ on my shelf since last year, and was excited to finally dive into the series (because, as anyone who knows me knows, I abhor having to wait for series releases. So I binge).

💥So, I blew through Rotherweird earlier this week, and am now getting ready to dive into this next installment. Things you should know about this series (aside from how stunning the covers are): it’s quirky, it’s dark, it’s entertaining and a great escape from reality. And the cast of characters are an absolute hoot. I mean, well, most of them. Some of them are just straight up evil. (But every story needs a great villain. Amiright?)

📚I went to my first #BookClub meeting of the year tonight, and we discussed Tᕼᗴ ᖴOᑌᑎTᗩIᑎᔕ Oᖴ ᔕIᒪᗴᑎᑕᗴ ᗷY ᖇᑌTᗩ ᔕᗴᑭᗴTYᔕ. We all agreed to having learned 𝐚 𝐥𝐨𝐭 from this book. To be brutally honest, I don’t remember learning about this piece of Spain’s past at any point during history class. So I greatly appreciated the amount of research Sepetys put into this book.🗃

📖In addition to an eye-opening history lesson, this book is filled with amazing characters and gorgeous imagery. The personalities were all very engaging and they came to life so vividly in my mind, as did the entire setting around them. Also? I often forgot I was reading a book marketed as #YA. Sepetys’ writing ability is just plain brilliant.💥

👍🏻In summation, I will read anything Sepetys writes. I’d recommend this book to anyone looking for good #HistoricalFiction without any hesitation, and I have every intention of reading the rest of her backlist before the calendar rolls over to 2021. ✔️
